Graduate Certificates

The Graduate Certificate is a short program to be completed in 7 or 10 months.

Students can choose among 3 different specializations:

1. Graduate Certificate in Business (consists of 4 subjects)
2. Graduate Certificate in Marketing (consists of 4 subjects)
3. Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (consists of 4 subjects)

7 or 10 months depending on the number of subjects you choose to take per trimester

  • Fall: September
  • Winter: January
  • Spring: April
  • Bachelor’s degree: Regular Entry: 3.0 GPA and above
  • Probation Entry: 2.0 to 2.99 (Probation means you will have to get an average of 55% in the 1st 3 subjects of your master’s degree)
  • IBT 79 – or IELTS 6.0 (5.5 might be considered if GPA is 3.0

Total tuition Fees: $8200 to paid in multiple installments throughout the duration of the program.

Visa, Residency (Emirates ID), Insurance and security deposit: $2135.

Graduate Certificates are recommended for students who:

  • Already did a Master degree and would like to move to Dubai without starting a 2nd Master, OR
  • Didn’t do a Master degree yet, are interested in moving to Dubai but not in a Master degree, OR
  • Don’t want to or are not able to invest more money in a Master degree, OR
  • Have a specific background and would like to add a short specialization in a different field, OR
  • Currently working, are not really satisfied with their job/situation and are looking for alternatives, OR
  • Couldn’t find a job yet in Morocco and would like to move to Dubai without having to invest in a Master degree

    What Will You Study ?

    All students complete three subjects:

    • Organisational Behaviour and Management
    • Marketing Management
    • Accounting and Financial Management

     

    Plus one of the following:

    • Exploring Global Business Challenges from Multiple Perspectives*
    • Operations and Supply Chain Management**

     

    *Mandatory for students intending to progress to a Master of Marketing, Master of Management, Master of International Business, Master of Financial Management, Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship or Master of HR Management degree.

    **Mandatory for students intending to progress to a Master of Supply Chain Management degree.

    What Will You Study ?

    All students complete four subjects:

    • Organisational Behaviour and Management*
    • Human Resource Development
    • Strategic Human Resource Development
    • Job Analysis, Recruitment and Selection

    *Students who do not have a relevant background in Human Resources should complete this subject within their first trimester of study. According to UOWD’s Credit for Prior Learning policy, those who have a background in Human Resource Management may apply to complete one of the elective subjects from the approved list below in its place :

    • Organisational Behaviour
    • Management of Change
    • Organisational Analysis
    • Performance Management
    • Management of Workplace Health and Safety
    • Cross-Cultural Management
    • Contemporary Issues in International Business

    What Will You Study ?

    All students complete four subjects:

    • Principles of Marketing Management*
    • Consumer Behaviour
    • Marketing Strategy
    • Social Marketing

     

    *Students who do not have a relevant background in Marketing should complete this subject within their first semester of study. According to UOWD’s Credit for Prior Learning policy, those who have a background in Marketing may apply to complete one of the elective subjects from the approved list below in its place:
